I never was really into the whole fairy-tale wedding scene. I am a hard-core feminist who, as a rebel teen assumed I would never get married, and I didn’t spend much time thinking about it. It wasn’t until college that I fell in love with weddings and wedding gowns. I was studying at the Fashion Institute of Technology, when my sister got engaged. At the time I hadn’t really decided on whether to pursue costume design or couture, but presented with the opportunity to create a gown for my sister, I found my calling in the world of weddings. I graduated with a BFA in Fashion Design, specializing in Evening Wear and received the Saks Fifth Avenue Scholarship Award for Evening Wear Design in 2009.

I have been sewing my whole life, and am obsessed with couture sewing techniques, fine lace, opulent beading, and satin-faced organza.

I am also the head designer and event planner at Folie à Deux Events which I started in early 2016 to further indulge my wedding obsession.

And, joke’s on teenage me, in 2016, I married the love of my life, James. (Though I am still an unapologetic feminist) We live in Chapel Hill, NC with a precious dog and two rambunctious kitties.

I look forward to working with you! Book a Consultation…
